WORLD INVASION: Battle Los Angeles

WORLD INVASION –  Battle: Los Angeles

amoeba and filmtiki combined forces to pitch, win and deliver the worldwide digital viral video campaign for Sony Picture Entertainment’s Battle: Los Angeles. Our idea for the campaign was to produce 10 different country-specific, branded TV news broadcasts about the invasion, showing user and film generated footage in fake “News Flash” and “Breaking News” sequences for cinema, broadcast and online viral use.

To create the amount of “News” content needed for the 10 country specific, branded TV news channels, we decided to remix selected edits from the film, adding motion graphics, on screen displays, and various camera and footage effects to convey a realistic look for each country. We combined these edits with our own directed and shot scenarios, filming various hand-held sequences, outdoor “invasion” footage, and indoor “panic” shots.

Shooting 10 different news presenters and reporters in both green screen and outside broadcast environments, we combined all the elements together for the final, individually sound-designed, branded TV news broadcasts from around the globe. Watch them all below.
