Four Corners
For the second year in a row, the filmtiki team participated in Four Corners in London, a major film development workshop in which film students from all over Europe were able to travel to select campuses across several countries to receive intensive practical training and networking sessions.
The program united tutors and experts in their fields through several major Universities: Regents University, Krastyo Sarafov National Academy, Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, London School of Film, Media & Performance, and Escola Superior de Cinema Audiovisuals de Catalunya.
For the London portion of the program, filmtiki held an intensive Online Strategy and Distribution training workshop at Regent’s University’s film department.The workshop consisted of a one-hour group introduction to online distribution strategies and methods and was followed by one-on-one mentoring and advice sessions with individual production teams lasting 30 minutes. During each of the eight sessions, members of the filmtiki community management team met with the Director, Writer & Producer of each film, and advised on ways to present teaser materials, distribute their films and pitch their projects to Producers who could fund their productions.
